COVID Protocols
Per OSSE and CDC guidelines, we have implemented the following safety measures:
- Small class sizes with at least one Montessori trained guide and one assistant in every classroom (excellent teacher: child ratio)
- Isolated classroom pods that limit interaction with other classroom groups within the school.

Each classroom is self-contained with independent entrances, bathrooms, HVAC, kitchenette, and storage. Parents drop off and pick outside of their respective classroom and respect social distance.
The children and teachers do daily nature walks and unstructured outdoor play at Fort Slocum and Takoma Rec Park, both a short distance from our school. - Access to ample outdoor play and classroom spaces on-site.
- The classrooms are disinfected daily using electrostatic cleaning.
- All classrooms have HEPA-13 filters in our HVAC systems, COWAY Airmega 400 HEPA Air purifiers and direct access to the outdoors.
- We communicate with families on a daily basis: parents fill out a daily screening for their children prior to entering the classroom, share pictures and reports. This happens both through Transparent Classroom (our internal platform) and email.
